Jessica has always known she is adopted. Her parents, the Packwoods, have told her the story of how they, as anthropologists, were studying her family in Romania when they were attacked. Jessica’s birth parents begged the Packwoods to take their daughter to safety. Eventually, Jessica’s birth parents and many others of her family are killed and the Packwoods return to the United States with a new baby. Jessica hates the story. She hates the fact that her parents were the kind of freaks that anthropologists wanted to study in the first place and how her birth name sounds so ethnic and strange. Antanasia – what kind of name is that?
Jessica starts to get a little freaked out when she sees a strange and mysterious guy watching her from afar. At the same time, she starts hearing her birth name whispered in the air. Antanasia…

sounds cool
so want to read it
WOW, I’m already into it SOOO much. I read many reviews saying that it is VERY similar to Twilight but I don’t mind that. I’m still getting it for X-mas. Your review was AMAZING!!!
AWESOME! I just finished the Twilight Series and I’m almost going through depression cuz i’m so sad I have no more books to read in that series.
But this looks really really good. I guess I do agree Anastasia is a wierd name but how did she not know she was a vampire let alone a vampire princess? Or did she just know that she was a vampire but not a vampire princess?
Anyway I’m super siked to read it now !
:):)
I loved this book, and it was nothing like Twilight! And it’s not poorly written like Twilight either.Just because the guy is a vampire every tween girls head thinks:Twilight. There were vampire books way before Twilight ever came around! So, in my opinion(and mostly everybody on Amazon)this book is way better then Twilight.
just finished reading jessica’s guide to dating
On the dark side (I’m a twilight fan so my standards for vampire books are pretty high and I think this book rises up to the standards):)
On OMG it had my heart pounding so loud and hard
Against my cheast it was hard to breath!
I seriously love this book so so much!
I wish I was Jessica/Antanasia..
can some1 get me a pdf for it online?
i read maybe half the book and it looked rellly interesting
ofcourse im a fan of twilight and i was relly sad when there wasnt nethin else to read after i finished the series
i hope theres a sequel for this book

.
[...] Book Bind Karin’s Book Nook The Story [...]
i already read it cuz my school has an advanced copy of it and it’s soooooooo cool. i loved it and i recomend it to everyone!!
I got this book last week from Barnes and Noble and I’ve already read it twice. That alone should prove that it’s interessting and compelling enough to at least read twice. I found myself thinking beforehand that it would be predictable… vampires… love… and it was her first novel. I did not expect to be taken on a rollercoaster and find myself actually fearing what was happening. I found myself thinking that the stuff happening couldn’t be happening and yet they were. I was surprised many times and excited and tearful and many emotions. It was a great journey to read. I gave it to everyone I know. : )
I liked the Twilight Saga and this book sounds really good. My friend and I want to read it together. Let’s see if it is better than the Twilight Saga.
This looks like a sounds like a really great book. I’ll have to get it at the store.
[...] out my book review and book [...]
Damn i really want to read this but i live in australia and can’t seem to find it any where!!
where can we find it online? im in nz and they dont seem to have it here=(
This is not like Twilight, this guy is NOT like Edward.
Just to clear it up, to me its not even 1% like the Twilight books.
Im a huge fan on the saga but this book was AMAZING, Lucius is so interesting and I did not get bord with the book, at all. I read it in almost one night. Thats how good it was. I also am going to begin using some of the words Lucius chooses.
I wish she came out with another. Maybe she will:]
I so want to get this book, I read the first 60 pages and I was hooked. I’m not sure which I like better Twilight or Jessica’s Guide to Dating the Dark Side. Of course my name is Jessica so that might change my mind. And I so want her to come out with another.
i loved this book so much it was even better than twilight. i wrote and email to beth and she told me she does not think she is going to write a sequal but she has already started another book! i can’t wait
What I like about this book is that it’s suspensful. It keeps you guessing what is going to happen next.
I think it was awesome and I’m glad it ended the way it did… even if we had to wait 347 pages to get there. I do hope that Fantaskey makes a sequel!
Loved this book.
Ohmygod. I agree, i was reading it in class and had to hold tears back. The book created so many emotions it was crazy, Im not finished yet, but im reading it at the moment (: I was going crazy, It took a big turn, and i rlly didnt exspect it.
this book is sort of like the twilight series but who cares. after reading this summary it wants to make me read this book so much . i kind of already read some of it, but this is the kind of book that i want to read over and over again.
oh kool do you think i shuld read it
Hi, all. This is Beth Fantaskey, author of Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. Thanks so much for the nice comments that so many of you have posted about my book on this blog! I am so appreciative of my readers! Keep up to date with me and my writing projects on my Web site, bethfantaskey.com. Check out my blog, too. Thanks again!
i absolutley LOVED this book!im a total twilight lover so i was glad that i got to fall in love with another vampire book that didnt have edward cullen in it[: i saw this book in a Delias catolog and i went out the next day and bought it.i def dont read for fun with with this book i can read it over and over again and never get tired of it.i hope beth makes a sequal!
It sounds interesting. I think I’d want to read it but I’m a bit of a Twilight hater.
How many total pages are there to the book?
I just finished this book as well. I have also read twilight so I do have high standards on vampire books and this book has to be my second favorite vampire novel series. I really hope there is a second cause this book was excellent. I just couldn’t put it down. I recommend it to everyone.
hello! I
This is an amazing book! I cried at some parts, and I actually found myself getting genuinely mad at faith! Thing is though, it’s a little close, in some parts, to Twilight. Her horses name is Belle, the hot guy with huge muscles name is Jacob (Jake), she doesn’t know if she wants Jake or Lucius, there sort of is a Volturri, they mention Wuthering Heights on the reading book list. Besides those factors, it’s a very well written book, and I was drawn in right away. PS: I hope there is a sequel!
My mom brought me this book home from the library after i finished the Twilight Saga. I actually finished the book in one night, i couldnt put it down…I hope Beth Fantaskey writes more!!
This book was amazing I think it was way better than twilight and i like because it’s more of the traditional vampire with more of a modern twist.
this book is freaking amazing !!! like twilight amazing!! every twilight fan needs to read it !!
I loved this book and was encouraged to read it the very moment i saw it i love vampires and their entracit stories and cannot wait to see more Beth Fantaskey and most if not all vampire novelists has inspiered me to write my own novel which i am currently working on…however there is one qouet in the book that caught my eye and won my heart “fear to hate hate to love and love to passion alchemy” I really hope a sequel comes out
My best friend’s name is Jessica, and we have a boy in our class who is romanian and we don’t like him so now this book has become one of the best jokes to make fun of them.
ok so this book was amazing and i didnt think it was anything like twilight exept they were vampires and not even the same kind and the horses name was bella i thought that to be funny but this book was amazing and the guy was mutch more mysterious then edward but not better Just read the book because it was amazing so just read it ok But i read twilight and this book and they both have there individuality (<–i dont no how to spell) and both 100% amazing
Kayla
THIS BOOK IS LIKE, SO MUCH BETTER THAN TWILIGHT.
Just an amazing book. I must say, i would have loved a sequel. But although, i really dont feel that there has to be one. The book contained everything i aspire in a desirable book. This one absolutely didnt dissapoint. 3:56 in the night, just finishing the book, i must say to those who have written about the similarity from the Twilight series, i do not agree. Stephenie Meyers Twilight are truly magnificent, but i feel its wrong to put these two against each other. They both write different, and the plot is quite different too. I loved this book as much as i loved Twilight, perhaps even more. Really looking forward to more books from Beth Fantaskey – thank you for this amazing book about Jessica and Lucius. “Norwegian fan”
this was the first book i read after the twilight series AND I LOVED IT!ive read it numerous times and i really,REALLY,hope she makes a sequal
i really want to read this but im not sure if its out in the uk yet…so does anybody know when it will be out here? it would be much appreciated. cheers.
Like most of u I tottally agree. It had sooo much emotion and sooo many events that made you change your mind about how it would end. and like Siv I also agree that it would be good if there was a sequal but 1 is good enough for me
That is so rude and in extremely poor taste. Be nice to the Romanians or we’ll get’cha
omg i jus read the book…
and i thought it FAB!!
I just finished reading this book and I really enjoyed it. I agree that it isn’t like ‘Twilight’ and that Lucius isn’t as gentle which was a better portrail of the vampire mind. However, as a 23-year-old, I wish it had a more adult feeling to it. I do feel if the author were to write a new book (different theme and characters) she could do just that and have a true hit to dazzel the minds of a broader audience.
awsome book i read it and its the best!!
i literally just closed the book and absolutely loved it!!
omg i luv this book its lyk the best iv ever read i really thought it was gonna be like the twilight saga but it wasnt i just gotta say i luv this book so much
I have read this book and i LOVE IT!!! especially the ending when she was turned. I have never read a book so compelling, dark, suspenseful. i swear if i was jessica i would have punched faith crosse in the face. Stealing my man.
Guys don’t say anything about twilight. I’t not like u guys what me talking like that about your favorite books. Ohh and I LOVED THIS BOOK.
