Hyperion – December 2008
Camelia lives a very normal life. She has loving parents, two best friends, a good job, and decent grades. Everything changes for her when she is almost killed in the parking lot at school on the last day of her sophomore year. A mysterious stranger saved her by pushing her out of the way. His touch is electric and Camelia can’t get his face and the feel of his touch out of her mind. The problem is, he disappeared after he saved her.
Three months later, at the beginning of junior year, strange things start to happen. Camelia receives photos of herself in her mailbox with notes attached. Notes that say she is being watched at all times. Notes that tell her to be a good girl. Notes that say her time is coming soon. She also receives phone calls from someone with a whispery, male voice. Camelia is being stalked and, coincidently, her mysterious savior enrolls at her school at the same time.
A cloud of rumors swirl around Ben’s arrival. Apparently he was accused of killing his girlfriend and the people at Camelia’s school aren’t happy he is there. Camelia is drawn to Ben because of the connection she feels after he saved her, but Ben doesn’t make it easy to get to know him. As she spends more time with Ben and the stalking escalates, Camelia doesn’t know who to trust.
Laurie Faria Stolarz has written a creepy mystery. The story is packed with red herrings. As you are reading, you’ll be asking yourself, “Could it be him?” “Could it be her?” Interspersed throughout the chapters, the reader gets a glimpse into the mind of the stalker by seeing his handwritten journal entries where he obsesses about Camelia. This just adds to the creep factor of the story.
If you are easily frightened, I would recommend you read this book during the daytime. You might even make sure that other people are in the house with you. Be prepared to become obsessed yourself. Once you start DEADLY LITTLE SECRET you won’t want to stop. DEADLY LITTLE SECRET is the first in the Touch series. Be looking for the sequel, DEADLY LITTLE LIES, sometime in 2009.

It is really good. I got the day it released and read it that day. It is a book you do not wan to put down. Laurie Stolarz is a wonderful author and if you read Deadly Little Secret you should read her Blue is for Nightmare series, which is similar
This is a fantastic book. I read the summary online, liked how it sounded, and bought the book yesterday. I finished it last night. I just couldn’t put it down. It was an amazing book. I defintley recomend it. I can’t wait till Deadly Little Lies comes out!
I just finished this book and it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. I was upset when I was done, because it’s a book that keeps you flipping the page. I recommend it to anyone who loves a mystery and a love story in one!

Oh god, this book is so freaking good! I read it like a month ago, and everyone should totally buy it! I love how Laurie Faria Stolarz mixes, super-natural, with regular teen High School. And it’s so intense, like I was literally jumping out of my bed at parts. And it’s also really amusing to. AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR DEADLY LITTLE LIES! I’ve been trying to fin when it comes out, but I just found the cover, and the summary. So EVERYONE, I repeat EVERYONE read this awesome freaking book!
I agree!! This book was amazing. Normally it takes me a week to finish a book and I read that in like 6 hours lol. Anyways, I have no idea when the sequel is coming out (anyone know?) but I really can’t wait! Usually I predict what’s going to happen in books and with Deadly Little Secret I was wrong…3 times. Very unexpecting…but it makes sense how she put it in there. I don’t know how to explain it without spoiling the book so go read it!

I myself has been trying to solve the mystery of the legend that forces you to have “earn it before
having it”, for a wile now. Could not understand much though.

Man, I followed that the dark truth link, and was completely in the story. Damn exciting. The latest post talks about a friend of him who’s gone missing . Somewhere on his way to Leh, India. And the guy is asking for help find it. Soundss like an online game . This looks interesting. M already hooked on.

Read it in like 4 hours. AMAZING book. You CANNOT stop! the chapters are like super short so like you keep saying to yourself okay one more chapter one more and keep doing that. Next thing you know, you’re at the end of the book! The ending makes you go WHOA, but i won’t say what D: <3 ahha. i recommend.
Read it in 2 hours from midnight to two; COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!!!!! Excellent, my favorite book!

I read this book and Deadly Little Lies. I read both of them in one day! It actually made me mad anytime I got interrupted. Lol. But this book is amazing and I never wanted to put it down! I hate that the third one isn’t out yet. Oh, the suspence!!! I think it would be really amazing if someone made movies about these books. I’m kind of a book writter of my own. I would have never started to try to write books if it weren’t for Laurie. She deffinately persuaded me. I hope that my books could even be half as good as hers. [:

I love this book so much makes me want to read it five times over and Fachacha im 11 turning 12 soon and I got a little creeped out but only 1ce but I do like ghost storys( this book isn’t one btw) and they are no big deal to me I know you will love this book as much as I do exspeshaly if you like a good mystery hope you enjoy this book
I got the book at my library and started to read. I kept trying to put it down but I just couldn’t! I stayed up til one in the morning and finished it sad that it had to end. If you like a book that keeps you on the edge, I think this is so the book you need. Can’t wait until I get my hands on Deadly Little Lies!
