I’m Waiting, and Waiting, and Waiting for …
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
In the last week or two I’ve noticed these Waiting on Wednesday posts on several blogs. For instance, Reviewer X, The Ravenous Reader, and the one who started it all, Jill at Breaking the Spine. There are always books that I want, but there are some that seem to monopolize my thoughts. Lately, THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH has been that book. I would love to get my hands on an ARC. So, if anyone has one that they would lend me or trade me I’d appreciate it. Just leave a comment.
Here is the description from Amazon.
In Mary’s world there are simple truths. The Sisterhood always knows best. The Guardians will protect and serve. The Unconsecrated will never relent. And you must always mind the fence that surrounds the village; the fence that protects the village from the Forest of Hands and Teeth. But, slowly, Mary’s truths are failing her. She’s learning things she never wanted to know about the Sisterhood and its secrets, and the Guardians and their power, and about the Unconsecrated and their relentlessness. When the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, she must choose between her village and her future—between the one she loves and the one who loves her. And she must face the truth about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Could there be life outside a world surrounded in so much death?

So, let’s keep this going. What book are you waiting for this Wednesday?

I loved this book. It was the one I featured last week for my first waiting on wednesday post. And sorry but I gave away my arc.
Hello Karin
Well I am guilty of saying that I am the one that bookgeek gave her book to. It is one of my favorite reads. I am willing to part with it so that you can read it. I know of an ARC that you have that I am dying to read. Let me know if your interested.

Karin – get the ARC, no matter what! It is lyrically beautiful and gripping. I can’t wait to own an actual copy of it and I’m praying that a publisher here in the UK will be picking this up as it is just too good not be sold all over the world.
I am very jealous! I would love to get my hands on any ARC! Whether it be Kiss of Life, Fragile Eternity, or The Forest of Hands and Teeth! To tell you the truth, I have never heard of this book or its author. But after reading the summary and excerpt you’ve got me hooked. Can’t wait til it comes out :]
I’m with you on this – I absolutely cannot wait to read this! I’ll be at the bookshop the morning it’s released (lol)
It is an amazing book, I loved it. This novel stays with you long after the pages have been read.
I hope you enjoy it Karin
Karin, I’m pretty sure I still have an ARC on my galley shelf at school. If you email me on Tuesday (the 20th) at jhubert@lrei.org to remind me and send me your snail mail, I will send you the ARC if it’s there.
