The “In My Mailbox” post is a way to highlight the books I received this past week. Be sure to check out The Story Siren to see what she received this week since she started this feature. I made quite a haul this week.
First, I want to say thanks to The Ravenous Reader for trading ARCs with me so I could get THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH by Carrie Ryan. It was great. I’ll be posting the review later today.
THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH by Carrie Ryan

In Mary’s world there are simple truths. The Sisterhood always knows best. The Guardians will protect and serve. The Unconsecrated will never relent. And you must always mind the fence that surrounds the village; the fence that protects the village from the Forest of Hands and Teeth. But, slowly, Mary’s truths are failing her. She’s learning things she never wanted to know about the Sisterhood and its secrets, and the Guardians and their power, and about the Unconsecrated and their relentlessness. When the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, she must choose between her village and her future—between the one she loves and the one who loves her. And she must face the truth about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Could there be life outside a world surrounded in so much death?

wowzers! awesome list!! the forest of hands and teeth!!! can’t wait to see what you think about that one!
Tell Me Who looks (and sounds) so good! I love the cover! (:
I enjoyed this novel and hope that you did also. I cannot wait to read your review
I love the cover of Little Grrl Lost! But the last book I read from him was not up to my standards (Blue Girl)
Anthony Horowitz and Charles de Lint are awesome books, although these arent exactly their standard type of book, I don’t think. Charles de Lint’s Newford and Omaha series’ are pretty good, and I just read Dingo. If you haven’t read The Switch (horowitz), you should do so–it’s a great book.
I kept seeing good reviews of The Rule of Won and The Forest of Hands and Teeth while reading blogs today, so I’ll go put those on hold at the library…speaking of holds, Graceling finally came in, and I have to go get it.
@ Diana Dang: The Blue Girl si a different type of Charles de Lint book, I think. I enjoyed it, as did my sister.
