How do i obtain The Vampire Diaries for free?
I really liked this series. When i say “liked” i mean it was phenomenal!!! But I just got kind of shook up when in the second volume Damen overtook Elena. Not that i object its just that i didnt expect that which made me “like” it even more.
this is going to be my first time reading the series, so I’m very excited and can not wait. And with them making the show, too on CW6 wow even better, but that won’t stop me from reading a good book!
I just read the prompt for the Pilot episode and I’m thoroughly shocked! They are changing it from Elena having a sister of age 4 to having a brother who is only two years younger than her. It’s quite strange to change things so much. Bonnie is no longer a pale redhead but is dark skinned and has dark hair. All these changes seem a little off putting but I am still willing to give it a shot. Everything deserves to be seen at least once right? Other changes that weren’t neccessary were Elena’s looks. She is blonde haired and blue eyed in the book now she has brown hair and eyes in the show. My comment about the book series is that they are amazing I read them about ten to twelve years ago but I’m re-reading them and I still love them very much. Though this may sound strange I liked the Secret Circle books more than Vampire Diaries. I hope they make a show out of that series too. Any way I’m rambling, I apologize.
I have mixed feelings about this book. It’s pretty enjoyable, and I love reading and rereading it. It’s also my favorite from the series cause it’s the most romantic out of them all (imo) and I’m a hopeless romantic. However when i analyze it, it isn’t really that good. Most of the characters are pretty interesting/original in some way or another (the lead character, for once, isn’t the shy and insecure freak/loner/etc—bella swan, lee fiora, mia thermopolis, bianca from evernight, the list could go on and on forever) and yet they are not enough explored for my taste. stefan is a pretty good character, however, I’d probably like him better if he didn’t remind me of a watered-down version of the swoony simon from silver kiss (i don’t like edward cullen, btw. his character is too… fake?) and the monster-in-me shit is kind of getting old. damon is my favorite, but he could be so much more. the book feels too short, like things happen too fast. the so-called love triangle that the cover promotes never happens–elena is always sure of her love for stefan, at least in this book. Unlike twilight, where there are lots of funny/witty/lovable quotes, this book doesn’t have that type of things–it’s more of a serious book. don’t get me wrong, i loved this book on its own right, but a bit more humor and character interaction would have made it even better.
I cant read the whole book!!! idk if it is supposed to be the entire book or not but i only read to page 103. If somebody knows how to read the FULL VERSION Please reply

… I’m reading “The Awakening and The Struggle”… still on The Awakening… just got to the part when Stefan told Elena ALL ABOUT KATHERINE!!! I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT!!! L.J. Smith is a great author… but i’ll never like anything more than Twilight….
I am a fan of Twilight and i know how things are between Twilight and Vampire Diaries. Being in Edward’s side, i thought Stefan sucks. But then i got the chance of reading the book and heck, it rocked my world.
Truly though, the shows nothing like the book. I love the book more. XD
