In honor of the fact that I received RADIANT SHADOWS this week, I thought I would use faeries as the topic of my Read-a-Like post. I’m focusing on faerie stories where there is struggle of some sort – mostly between the different Courts. I’m sure I missed some, so be sure to leave other titles in the comments section of this post and let me know what else I need to read.
The natural starting point for this list is:
WICKED LOVELY by Melissa Marr
INK EXCHANGE by Melissa Marr
FRAGILE ETERNITY by Melissa Marr
TITHE by Holly Black
VALIANT by Holly Black
IRONSIDE by Holly Black
FAERIE WARS by Herbie Brennan
PURPLE EMPEROR by Herbie Brennan
RULER OF THE REALM by Herbie Brennan
FAERIE LORD by Herbie Brennan
LAMENT by Maggie Stiefvater
BALLAD by Maggie Stiefvater
Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston
Darklight by Lesley Livingston
THE GOOD NEIGHBORS: KIN by Holly Black
THE GOOD NEIGHBORS: KITH by Holly Black
These two books involve pixies, but … I felt they were close enough.
Need by Carrie Jones
CAPTIVATE by Carrie Jones
THE IRON KING by Julie Kagawa
So, what else is out there?

I have the first in a quartet about the Scottish Sithe coming out this summer – Firebrand
) Lovely to come across this post on Twitter!
Bones of Faerie by Janni Lee Simner is coming out Jan. 26. This is her first YA book. Booklist says, “Much information is frustratingly withheld from both Liza and the reader, and many questions are left unanswered, but this will still garner a share of fans for its unusual and unsettling vision of a magically dystopian future.” Sounds interesting.
The Chronicles of Faerie by O.R. Melling is a series that takes place in Ireland.
The Faerie Path series by Frewin Jones. Although, the covers of these books look rather different from all the other ones out there, because they are all very…glittery and uplifting…
Bones of Faerie by Janni Lee Simner.
Black Pearls: A Faerie Strand by Louise Hawes.
I’m not sure if these were exactly what you were looking for, but I was just spitting out faerie YA books.
Rosemary and Rue: An October Daye Novel by Seanan McGuire was very good. A sequel is due out soon.
Seems like a pretty complete list to me! All awesome books, by the way.
Loving this new feature!
Violet Wings by Victoria Hanley
Wings by Aprilynne Pike (second book Spells out May 4, 2010)
Fairy Tale by Cyn Balog
Eyes Like Stars: Theatre Illuminata, Act I by Lisa Mantchev
There’s a YA series called THE FAERIE PATH I have the first couple books in my TBR pile but haven’t read them yet so don’t know what the plot is. But they are about faeries.
